After almost 10 years, Google is updating that iconic multicolor "G" logo

It’s not a big redesign but the flat color blocks are now a smooth gradient, blending the red, yellow, green, and blue into each other.

Last refreshed in 2015, the popular icon's four distinct color blocks now blend seamlessly together, creating one cohesive, rainbow gradient effect. 

 The subtle changes make the logo appear softer and "more vibrant and colorful," according to 9to5 Google. 

They are also more in line with the modern iconography used in its Gemini AI model. Google's main, six-letter logo, however, remains unchanged, for now.
